Rick Ryser represents taxpayers throughout the United States in complex and usually very high dollar IRS Collection matters. Mr. Ryser has over 35 years of experience in IRS Collection matters and knows the system from the inside out having started his career with the Internal Revenue Service in 1974.

Prior to joining Brown, PC, Mr. Ryser held a variety of positions with the Internal Revenue Service including Revenue Officer, Collection Group Manager, Bankruptcy Section Group Manager, Regional Analyst, and Branch Chief. Mr. Ryser spent the majority of his career in supervisory positions and retired as a Senior Program Analyst for the IRS National Office where he was responsible for the Offer in Compromise (OIC) program for seven years. Mr. Ryser also served as an instructor for many IRS training courses including IRS Basic Instructor School, IRS Revenue Officer training, Revenue Officer CPE, Front Line Manager Training, Leading Change, Juran Quality, and OIC training for Offer Specialists and Offer Examiners. Mr. Ryser has given numerous presentations for State Collection Departments, IRS Enrolled Agents, CPAs and Real Estate Agents. Mr. Ryser helped draft the Internal Revenue Manual Offer in Compromise procedures, numerous forms, letters and publications.

Mr. Ryser graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1975 with a Bachelor's Degree. He was a 3-year Baseball letterman at Texas Wesleyan and was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles his junior year in the 6th round.

When not working, Mr. Ryser enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, and fishing with his wife of 26 years.
